Gateway

A gateway is a server which functions as an entry and exit point of a multi-hop network. With Nym mixnet, there is an entry gateway which forwards traffic to 3 different mix nodes, and an exit gateway that forwards data packets to their final destinations on the web. With the Fast Mode of NymVPN, there are only two gateways and no intermediary nodes. Entry gateways are also responsible for validating access credentials.
