NymVPN v2026.5 introduces:

A new UI for measuring data usage
Improved diagnostics & error reporting
An important fix to bandwidth exceeded error warning
Improvements to DNS for censorship resistance

MacOS users: More testing was needed on a core new feature. v1.20.0 will follow shortly this week.

New data usage display & error fix

Bandwidth exceed error fixed

As users have reported, a message appeared in error signaling that the bandwidth limit (how much data you’ve sent over the network) has been reached. This prevented users from using NymVPN until additional data was added to their account. This has been fixed, meaning no more needing topups from the Nym team!

But if you do reach your fair usage limit, please reach out to Customer Support.

New data use display

To better manage your data usage on NymVPN, we’ve introduced a new UI display that shows how much you’ve used and have left.

Improved diagnostics

Report error logs for iOS

A new toggle to optionally share error logs has been added. Please consider turning it on so that the Nym team can better identify and fix issues you encounter with your NymVPN app. And remember, all data shared is anonymous!

Diagnostics for Windows & Linux

A new diagnostic tool has been added to the logs to improve optional bug reporting to the Nym team.

Improved DNS for censorship resistance

We’re created a more streamlined interaction with the static DNS underpinning the HTTP client to improve censorship resistance.
