Following the release of NymVPN v.2.5.0 on Android and v.1.20.0 on Linux, two problems were discovered and quickly addressed:
- Andorid: A configuration issue between the app and killswitch preventing proper connection
- Linux: A problem with DNS resolution
Both problems have been resolved and new app versions released. Thanks to the Nym community for early notifications.
NymVPN v2025.19
Nym is releasing NymVPN v2025.19 with brand new split tunneling for Android (and more apps to come!), DNS customization (for CLI), and a new wallet mode on desktop apps to integrate your dApps with NymVPN on Windows & Linux.
Here’s everything that’s new with NymVPN.
Split tunneling on Android
The Nym team has launched split tunneling on NymVPN for Android. You can now select which apps are protected by the active NymVPN tunnel, or instead go direct to the web for best performance or compatibility. Split tunneling on desktop apps is set to follow in Q1 2026.
A full “tri-mode” split tunneling, allowing to route apps through both the Fast and Anonymous mode at the same time, is also on the radar for 2026.
DNS customization (CLI)
You can now customize your DNS settings in NymVPN (CLI version only for now).
New wallet mode for desktop
Connect your dApps and wallets to NymVPN on Windows & Linux via SOCKS5 or RPC.
Now accepting BNB payments
As of this week, you can now purchase a NymVPN plan in BNB tokens, including Binance-Peg USDC, DAI, BUSD, USDT, and NYM (BEP-20).
New nym.com languages
Check out nym.com in some cool new languages:
- Spanish
- French
- Turkish
- Vietnamese
