NymVPN v2025.11 is live
Nym’s war against NymVPN bugs advances toward great app stability
NymVPN v2025.11 includes many performance and connection optimizations across the apps. Here’s everything that’s new with this release and what to look for next.
Note: A new iOS app is in final testing stages and will be available in the coming days. This will include a brand new in-app payment system.
Any don't forget to get a long-term subscription to NymVPN at the lowest price it will ever be!
Daemons don’t sleep well
When the rest of the world sleeps, daemons can get into trouble. Following the daemon fixes in NymVPN’s last release, v2025.11 rolls out a new series of improvements to help with our problems, asleep and awake.
Daemon cannot recover
Fixes have been applied to all apps that were requiring the daemon to hard reset.
On the macOS app, a persistent problem with the daemon not recovering after sleep-mode and unable to fetch gateways has been addressed.
Sentry error monitoring
A change has been made to Sentry’s error monitoring. This is now controlled by the NymVPN app’s settings to allow disable/enable monitoring for both the app and the daemon. This will improve overall app stability and performance.
Building a strong core
New additions
- The app will now register with locally generated mnemonic
- Probes will now send zk-nyms
- The first part of a process in which two keypairs will be used per gateway
Core fixes
Many additional fixes have been made to:
- Database availability
- Mixnet client
- DNS connections
- Task manager
- Tunnel connectivity
- Topology
Bug fixes
Android
- An important fix was made for issues when switching from Wifi to Cellular on Android devices. These connection problems were reported in Google Play Store as crashes and disconnects.
- Fixes have also been done regarding Graphene connection drops and crashes reported by Play Store.
Windows
Since Wireguard-go does not always pass TCP traffic, a resolution has been implemented to address the issue of sites not opening while NymVPN is on.
What’s next for NymVPN
The Nym team’s core goal before all others is to improve app stability and connectivity as much as possible. This all starts with the reporting you’re all doing in the wild. Keep up to date with NymVPN’s roadmap for 2025 as well as the Help Center to report any new bugs you find!
Core features to look for in the coming months are:
- Quick-connect and more gateways
- Advanced censorship resistance measures
- In-app payments
- DNS customization
